Survey tips
Â
Asking your customers about the level of their satisfaction with your product and/ or service is the simplest way to find out what if anything needs to change. If you are after more detailed information, design a survey to also target the wider public. Here are some tips:
1. Limit the total number of questions to maximum 10. This way you’ll be more likely to get an honest opinion of the responder and won’t be a hassle when asking around on the street, in the shops or cafes.
2. Limiting the number of fill-in-the-blank questions will significantly increase your response.
3. Remember to ask respondents what they liked most about your product or service. This way you can emphasize the positives, learn about the preferences of your target market and get testimonials.
By doing the survey you not only get the valuable feedback but also promote your business by spreading the word around!  However, not everyone will be ready to spare a couple of minutes talking to a stranger, so smile, be polite and respectful and wish them a nice day – you never know, they may turn around and even become your customer.
