Step two
The key difference between people who are successful and those who are not is taking action. There can be no substitute for taking action. Even the most precise planning and strongest desire will take you nowhere if you're sitting on the couch watching TV. You have got to be willing to act, to get out there. It’s been said that even if you are on the right track you will get run over if you just sit there. You've got to be willing to take some steps and build some momentum.
When you start talking about why your goal is important to you and what it would mean to you to achieve it, you start shifting your position from 'I don't know how' to 'Maybe what I need to do is just...'. You can either cause things to happen or you can be at the effect of them happening to you. How satisfying will it be at the end of your life to look back and see that it was never the way you wanted it? All you will have is all the excuses of why you couldn't do it and the reasons why you didn't do it and how hard it was to do.
Now, let's flip it: rather than thinking: it's way beyond my control and influence, BE AT CAUSE, create your reality. The belief that you create everything that happens in your life can give you so much more momentum and empowerment to make things you want them to be! What if by choosing not to see all the evidence of success around you, you condemn yourself to repeating the patterns of non-success in your life?
Think about what results you want. Then ask yourself who already has the results that you want – What actions did they take? What attitude do they have, what do they do, what do they believe? What do they tell themselves? How do they communicate? Many successful people model someone who is already where they want to be - it can be a great way to fast-track your success!
